Gondola shelving is the standard bolt-down fixture in most retail stores, and it comes apart in a specific sequence. Shelves and brackets first, then upper wall panels, then lower base panels, then uprights. Doing it out of order damages the hardware and takes longer. We have done this enough times that it is not a puzzle on your floor. It is a process we follow every time.
Merchandise and Donated Goods
Sellable merchandise with no remaining retail path can go on our truck. If you want specific products donated to a particular organization, set those items aside before our crew starts loading. Once we are loading, everything on the truck goes to our disposal facility. For large volumes of product with potential tax-deductible donation value, talk to your accountant about the documentation requirements before the merchandise leaves your possession.
What "Broom Clean" Means for a Retail Lease
Most retail leases require the space to be delivered broom clean at termination: empty of all fixtures, equipment, and merchandise, with floors cleared and surfaces clean. Some leases specify more about patch requirements, overhead track systems, or electrical restoration. Review your move-out requirements before our job date so we know whether wall anchors, display brackets, and mounted equipment are part of the scope.
What Affects the Price
Square footage, fixture volume, and building access are the main variables. A small boutique is a half-day job. A 5,000-square-foot location with full gondola runs and a large stockroom is a full-day job for a larger crew. Loading dock access significantly speeds the work. We quote based on a walk-through or detailed description of the space.
